Matt has extensive teaching experience certifying ILA workers in forklift operations, electrical awareness and OSHA confined space training. With over 47 years of experience in the maritime industry, Matt’s experience includes container crane maintenance, modification, commissioning, and design including startup of material handling equipment on a new terminal. His knowledge extends to managing complex repairs, modifications and OSHA compliance regulations to container cranes, straddle carriers and other material handling equipment.
Matt has established a team of new ILA workers to dismantle 5 STS cranes for a major Terminal Operator in Port Newark and created a team of ILA workers to raise the first of 4 ZPMC cranes.
He has training in General Electric Intelligent Operation Stations (IOS), General Electric Man Machine Interface (MM2000), General Electric Crane Drive DC2000, Crosby Rigging & Training, and General Electric Crane Drives DC300.
Matt attended Central Connecticut State University and has a B.S. in Industrial Education.
